Around 20 to 24 feet long, the Weston-super-Mare flatners were used for fishing and day Tripping round the bay during the holiday periods.



They may look more like conventional boats but follow standard flatner construction with no keel, although they used a hinged drop keel. Many were converted to take an inboard motor and had the stern cut square

The Ann ,which now forms part of the museum collection, sailing in the 1960s. 


The Anne, as we first saw her in 2004. The boat is currently being restored in our workshop.
